Synopsis
In the 1970s, the populous neighbourhood around Brussels-North Station was destroyed to make room for 'Little Manhattan', a modernist dream with the two World Trade Centre towers as its crown jewels. The project failed, leaving the towers and surrounding area largely abandoned. In 2017, the private owners and politicians joined forces to redynamise the area. Fearing that history might repeat itself, Lietje Bauwens and Wouter De Raeve decided to enter the debate by making a film with the actors that claim a voice in the transition: politicians, an activist, the private owner, designers and others. Taking the WTC towers as its object, the film investigates contemporary urban redevelopment processes, and traces the influx of new ecological and participatory ideas and their actual impact. WTC A Love Story uses fiction as a method to explore whose stories enter the stage when the process of political representation is accelerated

Synopsis
On Friday evening, 11 January, a trucker passes a ‘Yellow vests’ blockade in Liège. The man is tired, he wants to go home. One ‘yellow vest’ wants to make the truck stop. The movement must be growing. Surely such a trucker must understand that. It is for them that we fight. He uses the truck's bumper as a stepping stone to see through the windscreen. Eye to eye. The man behind the wheel, could be himself. The windscreen as a mirror. A moment of hesitation and recognition. It is for you that we fight, he shouts. With a monkey wrench, he bangs on the truck's windscreen. The driver is startled and pulls up. And drags the ‘yellow vest’ under his wheels. The anger turns to fear. This tragic incident is the starting point for Stijn Devillé's performance on this new and ambiguous phenomenon of resistance and social struggle.

Synopsis
Lied is road movie and family drama in one.
A man is with his family somewhere in the South. But then something snaps. He gathers everything together and leaves. Through the night. The road through the landscape becomes a ride along his memories. Fragments. Flashes. Of how it was. Or of how he wished it was. When he gets home, he carries a child on his arm. Someone dies.
Just as Kris draws on his personal journey, Geert Waegeman traces a path through his own musical history for this performance. Text and music together thus form an extraordinary song.
(Lied was awarded the Taalunie Toneelschrijfprijs in 2006, in the same year Kris Cuppens was nominated for the Flemish Culture Prize for the Performing Arts with Lied ).
