Kris recently starred in Het nieuwstedelijk’s striking production Mooie jaren. He is currently back as part of the same excellent cast touring theatres in Flanders with De orde van de dag, an adaptation and staging by Stijn Devillé and Els Theunis based on Eric Vuillard’s award-winning book. In it, he tells the striking, little-known story of how bluff and collusion with the high priests of industry paved the way for the Second World War. The parallels with today are undeniable.
You never fall into the same abyss twice.
But you always fall in the same way.
In a combination of absurdity and fear.
And you so desperately want not to fall again…
Recently, Heysel 85, directed by Teodora Ana Mihai, was received with applause at the Berlinale in Berlin. In it, Kris plays the powerless police commissioner Joel Joncker. Coming soon to theatres.
The short film, The Catcher by Luka Galle, in which Kris plays Walt, received a special mention from the jury at the Ostend Short Film Festival and is screening at various international festivals.
Kris teaches at Luca school of arts and is also interested in all possible proposals concerning theatre, film or television work, as well as audio and writing assignments.
